Review by hotel critic
If you're on the lookout for a blend of convenience and comfort without breaking the bank, the Venecia is worth considering. Nestled in a prime location, you're a mere 2 to 10-minute stroll from lovely beaches, lively shops, and bar spots where you can sip a fruit cocktail - a plus for this marine biologist! The apartment was spacious and modern, outfitted with essentials like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and adequate kitchen utensils for those lazy dine-in nights. Daily housekeeping kept the space tidy, a definite luxury for me since diving every day can be exhausting. My only quibble? The bedroom remnants of air conditioning. With one unit in the lounge, I found it essential to leave the doors open at night for some flow. The pool at Billy's Bar served up delicious meals, but the area felt blistering hot; a shaded roof terrace could do wonders. While the prices lean towards the luxury side, given the comfort and service level, especially with the proactive staff in addressing concerns, it delivers solid value for the experience. I'd book again without hesitation, especially for any ocean lover on a tropical quest!
